Letter of Condolence from Petr Macinka to U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Wisner on the Assassination of Charlie Kirk

Dear Mr. Chargé d’Affaires,

We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. On behalf of the Czech political party Motoristé sobě, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and admirers across the United States. We share in the grief of all who cherish freedom and human dignity. Our thoughts are especially with his wife, his two children, and his closest loved ones.

Charlie Kirk brought together love of country, devotion to family, and respect for others into a message that even his untimely passing cannot silence. He believed that the path to understanding lies in open and honest dialogue, and for this reason he was able to inspire the younger generation, instilling in them the importance of freedom, responsibility, and civic courage. His legacy, founded on enduring values, will continue to inspire far beyond the borders of the United States.

We know that no words can replace such a tragic loss. Yet we believe that Charlie Kirk will endure in the hearts and minds of many – as an example of courage, openness, and faith in the power of truth. This is the legacy he has left to the world, and it will never be forgotten.
